Had lunch here today. Somehow I ended up behind the Pomona Racetrack and I saw this diner. El Merendero! Im hungry. You down? I m down! Food was delicious and the service was the best. Sometimes when you least expect it you find a Diamond. Today was my turn. I will definitely be going back. I loved this place. El Merendero! Try it, you'll love it too.
I've been coming here for over 20 years. It was early afternoon on a Sunday. I was craving Menudo. But then I was hungry and was also craving beef hardshell taco, chile relleno, steak picado plate and shrimp cocktail ???????????? So I called the order for pick up. Everything was good . The taco was a bit thin though but good.
Walked up for take home. Ordered 2 beef tacos and 2 beef chapulas. Disappointed with the chapulas, the tortilla was no different from a soft shell taco. Green sauce was good, they were busy with the lunch crowd. Mildly recommended, may be best to dine in vs take away.
