El Cilantro Restaurant

I went to El Cilantro today and I was left a little unsatisfied. The coconut frappe was amazing but everything else was not up to my standards. However a lady in a red came up to me and asked me how she could fix the issue and she did! I love this place because of the people they’re very friendly and nice. I recommend trying that drink I mentioned earlier, the chicken empanadas, and the Mofongo!!!

I am new to Charlotte area originally a New York Native where the Puerto Rican Cuisine is on another Level!! Good!!! I’ve been wanting a Sancocho when I saw it in their online Menu I made a bee line for my meal break. When arrived the decor and aesthetic was nice clean I was wondering why I did not get that waft of criolla flavor! I was surprised but made nothing of it..then I got greeted and smiles were on hand very nice however. I ordered Alcapurria which was never ordered though it was the first food item ordered then the Sancocho arrived PR style in a Caldero nice presentation w side of white rice and I chose tostones. First thing I noticed when I lifted lid was how watery it looked then came the flavor or shall I say WHAT FLAVOR?? It was bland I was so disappointed I was shocked actually. The lady who served me was sitting at a neighboring table having a conversation with other guest I said when she looked back to witness my first bite reaction i said confused why is it so watery?
