El Balcon de las Americas Latin Food - Margate

I’m visiting Florida for the holiday and always want to eat Colombian food the moment I land. We didn’t want to drive all the way to Miami to eat at Versailles so I Googled “best Colombian near me” and this restaurant was listed. I’m super excited to begin with to eat because I normally don’t branch out for Colombian food and their food looked amazing. During this time we arrived, it was the three of us in a empty dining room around lunch time. We thought this would be perfect because we were expecting a full restaurant and we now were able to eat and get our food in a decent timing. That was not the case in our experience. Our server, Dionny was genuinely welcoming and kind. He offered us drinks, their specials, and appetizers to begin with and then we ordered our main entree as soon as we were done. After we had ordered, we noticed the dining room was starting to fill up and throughout the entire time we waited for our food every single person that was seated after us received their

If you pass this restaurant and the cuisine it offers up without a thought to stop and try something, I'm sad for you. This place has it all. The food came within mere moments from the time we ordered with the floor more than at half capacity. Our server was polite and full of genuine energy and humor. The flavors hit the palate with all the spice and fire and heat you'd expect and the care the cooks take with simple presentation felt unpretentious yet high class. Do not pass this place without stopping to eat. ????????

From the moment I walked in, you were attentive and friendly, making me feel welcomed and comfortable. What really stood out to me, though, was the delicious breakfast that you served. The flavors and aromas were reminiscent of my travels to Columbia, and it was clear that you and the staff put a lot of care and thought into each dish. The arepas were particularly amazing, and I could taste the freshness of the ingredients in every bite. I also appreciated how you checked in on me throughout the meal, making sure that everything was to my liking and that I had everything I needed.
