Dusties Southern Style Buffet

Some good food items to be sure, but not at all worth $40 on Sunday. Best food was fried catfish fillet. Fried chicken, meatloaf, red beans and rice also good. Veggies looked very tired. The lauded peach cobbler was canned peaches swimming in syrup with a bit of very hard crust. Annoyingly, they cleared away my entire place setting twice, while I was up getting more food, so I had to go back for more silverware and napkins. Incredibly expensive at $40 including drink and tax, for a barely average buffet. You can get good fried catfish elsewhere for a whole lot less money.

Restaurant a total joke. Prices different from online and in restaurant. Food was burnt. I had to ask if any fresh food was coming out. Cookies were totally hard my kids played drums with them. Black mold on ice machine. The list can go on but not waste anymore of my time. For worth $112 for 2 adults and 3 kids. The lady offered us unfiltered water. What restaurant offered any drinks or use water supply without a filter? Utensils just laid in open so that bugs and people can touch all over. The pandemic is not over: no hand sanitizer or gloves to use spoons with. I watched the cook change out food and put the same spoon back in a pan. The spoon should have been changed out also. I will be reaching out the local food inspectors for that area. My kids stated McDonalds would have been better.

I have been a customer of Dusties since the location in Dolton, but regrettingly I will not continue to support a business that has horrible service. I'd say the last 5 orders that I have placed my order and $$$ was accepted online but when I get there to pick up my selections are unavailable. The Hostess told me to call and ask what's on the menu first before ordering. Why do you have a menu for folks to choose from then if I'm going to call to ask?? I don't know but I will never spend another dollar here. It's too expensive anyway.
