Dunning's Gourmet Market & Deli

I learned about this place 2 years ago. The selection of meats and cheeses are great. However, some of the food is not seasoned good. I paid 15 bucks for a steak at their out door event last year and it was terrible. The past two years the place has gone down. A colleague of mine got burnt salmon from them before. Prices have gone up and portions are smaller now. I do understand the pandemic and inflation are factors. Some of the staff seem like they have a problem understanding and taking orders. A bunch of kids who play around and don't take their job serious. I'm all for hiring young people but they should go through an extensive training on how to deal with customers. The owner is mean, heartless, and careless. I feel it is time for them to go and give another business their space. There is nothing special about this place. It was very disappointing to unpack my lunch to find burnt and overcooked salmon in my salad and on the sandwich. I’ve purchased the fresh Scottish salmon salads dozens of times, but this might be my last. Not only was the salmon overcooked and burnt, the portion was reduced. It appeared as if someone attempted to hide the burnt underside of the salmon, by removing it altogether. I also ordered soup, which was not heated before selling. I really enjoyed ordering from Dunning’s, and have often treated friends, family and colleagues to the salmon salad, in particular. Today, however, was unacceptable!
