Always a favorite of ours. Duke's has Excellent quality & flavor profiles to please the foodies. Excellent for guests that want to explore the area by train. Hop on hop of dining & drinks available throughout McHenry County. Vegetarian options: The grain bowl & falafel sandwich (not pictured) are vegan & vegetarian options. I add grilled Chicken.
This was a very unique and cute place. Fresh flowers on the tables and the service was excellent. The menus were where I had the most issues. I wasn't aware of what a lot of the stuff was on the menu (specifically the drink menu) so I just went with what I knew. The waiter actually let me get a taste of one of the ciders before ordering it, which I definitely appreciated. They pride themselves on serving local, grass fed beef and had organic and vegan items on the menu. I would say it was a bit pricey but the food wasn't bad. When we were finishing up, they had begun setting up for karaoke night and when we were paying, they turned off the lights and ended up playing music which was interesting lol. It is also attached to a bar but I am not sure if they are associated with each other.
The togarashi fries was the best! My husband said that it was the best fries he had ever tasted! Wow! We also loved the steamed mussels, it was so delicious that we’ve ordered another one. I was excited to try their calamari but it wasn’t available that time. Bummer. Although not a lot of food to choose from the menu, all in all it was a great experience! Definitely we’ll be back!
