Dowon Japanese Restaurant

My wife and I wanted to try a new Korean place and this is across the street from our usual Korean place. It pretty traditional Korean Restaurant (They have the service bell) and from what I can tell is run by older Korean women. Sadly, I was hoping for so much more. The pork had fat and many of the pieces were chewy and the chicken was the same. The Gimbob was good though but that’s hard to mess up. Sadly, I wont be coming back.

This place was pretty good. The food portion was quite large for lunch, but it was pricey for a lunch menu. The server was friendly and the food was very good. My spicy dish was not quite as spicy as I expected but it was very good and fresh.

Too expensive and not very tasty. We decided to try here as it’s so close to our house. But sadly it was a DISAPPOINTMENT. We ordered: 1. cheese ddeok bokki(rose), it was ok. BBQ wing’s restaurant version is SO much better. 2. Stir fried spicy squid. Another disappointment. Market food court tastes better than this. 3. Lastly, fishcake soup, that we didn’t even order. I don’t know what the Waitress was hearing. was the worst of it all. It came out cold. We had to ask to reheat. It’s was $19 waste! Don’t waste your money. And it is EXPENSIVE here. I can see why the place was pretty Empty.. Will not be back..
