Douglas Bar and Grill

Neighborhood BBQ spot with a really nice atmosphere and friendly service. The food was good overall, but a little hit or miss for us. The turkey, pulled pork, cole slaw and mac and cheese were all excellent. As an avid Texas barbecue eater, I’d give the brisket a 6/10. The slices I got were good on flavor, but drier than I’d like and the bark just wasn’t there. Beans could use more seasoning and the fries were good, but nothing special. We would probably go back since the place is so nice, but there are better examples of BBQ in Dallas, if you are just going for the food.

It was our first time dining at Douglas. From beginning to end the experience was wonderful! Customer service was amazing; our waiter Mason took such good care of us and was always friendly and helpful. The filet and all the sides had the best smoky flavor with such delightful flavors. Our drinks were perfect and the wine selection went great with my steak. For dessert, we had the peach cobbler with ice cream to close out a delicious culinary experience. I've only visited for lunch, but it's been quick and good every time. Large portions and great service. I especially like dishes (or meat plates) with their brisket and sausage. I had the turkey once, and it was a little dry (great flavor though). Parking: Parking is limited and shared by all the surrounding shops.
