Don Tequila Mexican Grill and Cantina North Side

I used to like this place when it was Rancho Alegre. Now it is horrible. The "music" is unbearably loud and completely ruins the whole dining experience. The food is still decent but the service is spotty at best. Some day I may return IF the management ever gets a clue and stops with the insane obnoxious noise and learns how to run a restaurant in a professional manner. Not likely though.

The service was friendly. They were not prompt at all. I ended up getting up to request my check after a while. They had some sort of live music. It was festive for sure however it was very very loud! I ordered the taco loco. It was HUGE! The taste was just . A friend ordered the chimichanga with lobster it was really really good! Perfectly flakey.

The food was terrible! I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga and it was filled with onions!! There were more onions than beef!! I have had this dish before so I know what it is “supposed” to taste like and it did not taste delicious like it normally does. The service, our waitress did not speak English it was VERY hard to order our food. She did not understand what we were saying and had to call for help SEVERAL times. I don’t know if they are under new management or have a new cook but the food was trash!!! I will not be returning. *Below picture is the pile of onions that was inside my burrito*
