Don Taco Bar and Grill

Seemingly small restaurant but once you walk in there's actually a good amount of space. Nice Mexican restaurant vibe/atmosphere. Legit tacos (onion & cilantro) served. However, with the al carbon (or maybe all of them), the onions are grilled (I suppose to accommodate those who don't like fresh onions). Al carbon was NOT dry and was flavored okay but I was expecting more of grilled and sliced pieces of meat versus shredded or ground beef. Also relatively bigger serving compared to other Mexican restaurants. Rice and beans were also good. Although the rice was a little oily. Flan was not the greatest because it wasn't smooth. The online menu directed from the QR code in the restaurant does not have up-to-date prices. For example, Mexican tacos on the online menu was about $10, in store it will be around $14. 10/15/22 Kid-friendliness: Available fries to order. Spacious interior.

To start, the service was good, very attentive and nice young lady waitress… BUT this rating is for the food. This was the WORST steak taco I’ve ever had. It’s like it was made with steakums or some other frozen shaved beef. Definitely not fresh grilled flank steak or sirloin as it should be. Is this supposed to be “authentic” Mexican food?? I would not recommend this place to a friend. Bottom of the list.

As soon as I walked in I loved the ambiance with the decorative pieces to the music - just perfect. We were greeted and sat immediately. They gave out chips and salsa to start and the chips were nice and warm. It doesn’t seem like the staff was that talkative almost like something was wrong so not sure what that’s about but all together very amiable. Whatever chile sauce they gave us was great! Great kick to it and they have reasonable combo prices. They’ve got everything too from tortas to churros and ice cream. This place is also in a great location with plenty of parking in the back. I saw a lot of people in the restaurant by the time I left too so seems pretty popular here. Hopefully I’ll be back in the future!
