I heard a lot of great things about this place, and I’ve been dying to try it. The chips and guacamole (without cheese) were outstanding. The tacos we ordered (Al pastor, asada & shrimp) and the chicken fajitas, left a lot to be desired. Not sure if it was an off day, but the Al pastor/shrimp tacos had a very odd taste to them, and the chicken fajitas were completely tasteless as if the chef forgot to add any salt/seasoning. I might give it another shot, but definitely not impressed after my initial visit.
Great atmosphere and such friendly people! They were more than happy to let us order drinks and chips and eat the next door pizza at their location. I will be back tomorrow!
Looked like a great place. Small but cozy. Got there at 9pm so I was unable to get food. Was very rudely greeted by a staff member though. He was wearing a cubs jersey. Didn’t even bother to ask if we were eating or just drinking. Simply said “Sorry, kitchen closes at 9pm!”. Looks like it could have been my next favorite neighborhood spot, but I guess not.
