Horrible experience horrible food. Ordered what was advertised as carbonara, it was hamburger helper at best. The owner double charged me and came over all angry I asked him to add the chicken I paid for. Slow terrible service while they catered to their friends at the only other table there. Owner's wife only served her friends table while we sat and waited watching her take sips of her friends wine. There was a hair on the menu that I tried to ignore but then our bruschetta came with hair too which the owner refused to remove from our ticket. Update: there were 6 other people in your restaurant. There were multiple hairs I only complained about one. You charged me $4 for 4 tiny pieces of boiled chicken. Don't worry I won't be back, I like edible food and owners who don't drink and serve while providing terrible customer service and hair. Added pic of what was advertised as "carbonara" you can see it's knock off hamburger helper at best.
Thought we'd try this place since we live nearby but never went earlier since it was always empty - now we know why! Server was super nice, house wine was good, and the food came quickly (to be fair we were the only ones there). The food however was solidly mediocre. I've never had a carbonara before without egg or pepper (?!) but instead with tomatoes, fat slices of onion, alfredo sauce, and an entire Finnish forest's worth of mushrooms. So much stuff, and yet so little seasoning that it tasted exactly like any alfredo pasta dish would anywhere else. That's not to say it was bad, it just wasn't special (or by definition even a carbonara). I'm sure for some people americanized Italian is a comfort food, à la Olive Garden, but its just not for me. What actually was inexcusable were the minced garlic landmines spread around inside the calzone. Hits you like a truck. All in all, standard Americana Italian but just.... Not as good as you'd expect.
Some of the better pizza you will have in the city. Good service too and fair prices.
