Denny's

I called to place an order, and the lady that was taking my order asked if she could put me on hold for just a couple of minutes, to attend to a customer that picked up an order. She never came back to the phone after holding for 1/2 hr. I hung up and called and apparently she never came back to the call because the phone was busy, I called several times after I hung up and it gave a busy tone. This was bad customer service, their food Is good, but very bad customer service, starting with customer service over the phone. I had to order to another restaurant nearby and even though their prices are higher, their customer service is excellent. Please work on customer service skills, especially phone service, that's the first expression that you get from a customer.

Finally a place with great service! My wife and I went to Denny's Mt. Vernon in Bakersfield CA and noticed this worker that was going around the restaurant greeting customers with a smile, helping with orders, and picking up small trash items off the floor . He was so happy, energetic, and conscientious that we guessed he must be the owner or manager. We stopped him and told him we notice what great service he was providing and asked if he was the owner or manager? His name was Fabian and he was a server. His manager came over and said she gets comments about his great attitude and work all the time. We told the manager again how pleasant and efficient he was and what a refreshing change from the service we see from young people now days. Oh, by the way, the food was very good that day also. I had the All-American Club sandwich and my wife had the plain cheesburger and the were both great tasting. Thank you for the great service Fabian!
