Denny's

Had the food out fast, everything was cooked perfect (had the sirloin), and everyone was very friendly. Definitely gonna come back to this one. They had a full staff, too, which is definitely more than a lot of places these days. Came at 2:30 in the afternoon. Server was Vanessa.

I know getting people to actually do their job is tough and this Denny's is no exception. We ordered a regular cobb salad and a sizzling chicken skillet. The salad was brought with chicken on it and no dressing. We waited, our server didn't come back. Hubby finally flagged her down and she brought two tiny containers of dressing. We ate some salad but the chicken skillet never came and neither did our server. He finally got up, went to the counter where 3 employees were chatting and inquired about the skillet and asked for more dressing. Neither came but we did see the server on her phone 2x. We got the manager as she walked by; a minute later we got the dressing, still no skillet. Several minutes later, it arrived, with the plate hot but not the chicken. When the bill arrived, we were charged for adding chicken to the salad. I can't even say this fiasco was due to the restaurant being busy but it wasn't; this was just bad service. The friendly manager is the only reason this Denny's

Food was excellent and brought out fast considering one waitress escorted customers to their table, waited on them, checked them out, and cleaned the tables herself which as you can see by the pictures she had a hard time keeping up. It wasn't until the last five minutes of us eating that we saw 3 other employees standing around. One was in "training". I hope they don't teach him to work like they do. One female had no desire to do her job correctly but Leah was a Saint. She is a great worker and had the best attitude. I felt really sorry for her. I don't ever post on reviews but Leah deserves a major raise!
