I was nearby about a year ago and decided to stop in. My family makes great food so I normally just get "frituras", rellenos, alcapurrias, etc. The food is ok, better than the nasty food trucks in Humboldt Park, but the services is just horrible. You never feel welcome when you walk in to order. You just get the "why are they here" look. You don't even get a simple "hello, how ya doing, what can I help you with?". So, a year later, out driving around with my family, we end up close o the restaurant. We checked with Google Maps to see if there was another nearby but unfortunately this was the closest. So we try again, and sure enough they didn't disappoint. The old lady in the front is just not friendly at all, just gives such a bad vibe. Three people up front, only one or two tables full, and I stood there for a while waiting to see if anyone was going to ask if we needed help. I decide to walk up to the counter asked if they had "morsilla", and the girl had no clue what I was talking
Excellent tasting dishes. One of the best places I've been in a while. Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No … More
It's not every day that you find something new and unique, but that's exactly what this place is. The sandwiches I had were excellent and I have never tasted anything like them before. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.
