Nice place, cloth napkins, nice menu options. Nice people but not very attractive. All of the staff were men and they were friends. They were joking around with each other instead of helping their customers. I had to yell at one of them to get his attention for the check. I ordered the Fettuccine with Smoked Chicken & Shitake Mushroom Pasta with white sauce it was ok. Their was no seasoning, there was way too much sauce, and it was unbearable to eat. It was just horrible. So I paid for my meal when I got someone Attention and asked to a to go box because I only took two bite of the pasta and I want to give it to a homeless person. I hate wasting food. Walked out of the restaurant and gave it to the first homeless person I saw a half a block down. I also gave her my water because she was going to need it
In town from GA, Brother was in the Hospital. He was discouraged and suggested we have lunch here. What a beautiful, relaxing spot to enjoy your meal. Right across the street from the Bay. There is plenty of parking, close to transit and ferry. Staff were very professional and very friendly. Inside and outside dining. We sat outside and just enjoyed the warm sunshine and cool breeze. The menu, well, there's something for everyone. The portions are extremely filling. The price was very reasonable. I do believe you can bring your 4-legged friend as well if you dine outside. Of course, there are no restrictions for service dogs. You got to check this place out, breakfast lunch, or dinner. Also, take the time to read about the history of this remarkable establishment. To the entire staff, keep up the great work. Thank you for what you have done in the past and what you are doing.
Wow, can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. Started coming here in 2019 and have been back as often as possible, even though I live in a different state. Best service in San Francisco. Great food and delicious dessert. Views of the Bay Bridge and water. Super low prices. This place should be packed every night! It's a hidden gem because a non-profit operates the establishment and doesn't advertise.
