D.A.’S Deli and Dining Calumet City

Let me start off by saying, Mr. Williams who took my order was very professional and helpful! Now to the food, the baked and fried chicken as well as the peach cobbler were all very good! The macaroni was okay but it could've had more cheese in it and the green beans were plain. The collard greens were dark and looked like spinanch and didn't taste good. The spaghetti was just pasta and sauce, no meat or seasoning what's so ever. My sister suggested ordering from here for a gathering we had two weeks ago. She was very disappointed and so was I because for the amount of money spent for this it definitely wasn't worth it. I feel like the cooks didn't taste the food or nothing they just made it, packed it up, and sent it out.

I’m not sure what happened to this place. The food was awesome when they first opened, but now, it’s a waste of money. They continually disappoint so I decided that I’m going to leave them alone. They’re convenient because of the drive-thru but the food taste horrible now. On my last visit just last week, I ordered some dressing and it was literally soup—I mean straight liquid. Horrible! I guess the cook forgot to put the pan in the oven once it was mixed. I mean the dressing was straight liquid. I was too tired to drive back up there and I said I’ve had it with D & A Soul Food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE SPENDINGS YOUR COINS AT THIS RESTAURANT. The food is indeed nasty ????

First timer here. I had the liver and onions dinner and a corned beef sandwich to go . Liver was cooked to perfection. I wish the portion was a bit more. But I guess that was, possibly, because I enjoyed it so much. Corned beef sandwich was for later. But I took a bite to test it. And it was tasty and tender. I will be back.
