Daddy Mac's Down Home Dive

We are big fans! The food is excellent, and the service was great. Shout out to server Kayla who gave quality recommendations and contributed to an awesome first experience. We’ll be back! We tried the fried egg rolls (with pimiento cheese & collards), the burnt ends Mac & cheese, and the patty melt. Would order all of it again, but there are so many options on the menu it may be awhile before we get back to these!

I am an avid BBQ enjoyer (if that is a word). This place had an amazing atmosphere, we ate outside on the deck overlooking the pond and fountain. Saw many turtles and fish swimming around. The food was some of the best I have had. The candied bacon was perfection! The smoked meatballs were perfect. The brisket had a wonderful taste, with an amazing after taste of smoke flavor, one of a kind! The queso was the best I have had! If I could give this place 10 or 20 stars I would. 100% would recommend to anyone! We are from Utah and trying to figure out new ways to come back through Knoxville!

We were visiting from out of state and found this place, and glad we did! We happened to come on a Thursday when they had live music outside, which made our experience that much better! The whole restaurant is beautifully designed. We sat outside to enjoy the most of our experience, however, there was a couple people smoking, with the smoke blowing towards us. This, the really slow service (no fault of our waiter, I think they were understaffed), and my grilled chicken skewers being dry, is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. My husband had gotten the Chipotle chicken salad and LOVED it, while I loved the house BBQ sauce! We will most definitely give it another try... just sit inside instead.
