CY Chinese Restaurant Szechuan Cuisine

WARNING they have a secret minimum tip of 15% on the after tax. I tipped 15% on the before tax and added some extra to round to an even number. Apparently this was not enough and after I had paid and packed my things and was about to leave the waitress brought my bill back to tell me I had not tipped the “minimum”. I was 9 cents short…. They made me redo my bill to add 9 cents. It was just embarrassing for no reason when nothing in their menu or bill stated a minimum tip. If they want a minimum tip they should add a service charge like every other place. If you’re coming with other people make sure you tip the “recommended” (except it’s actually mandated) 15% on after tax so they don’t humiliate you in front of everyone. The food is decent. They have authentic Szechuan dishes. I have had much better but for Miami this is probably the closest to authentic you will get.

Best Szechuan in all of South Florida. When you ask for mala they give it to you. All the classic dishes prepared as you'd expect at any legendary Szechuan restaurant. Don't let the décor fool you, the food and service are top notch. I ended up trying all of the following (I recommend chongqing chicken only ever as dine-in): -szechuan cucumber (6.95) -spicy chicken w Fresh pepper (13.95) -mapo tofu (12.95) -spicy cumin beef (17.95) -twice cooked pork (13.95) -egg roll (3.50) -veggie fried rice (5.95) -hot and sour soup (3.95) -chongqing spicy chicken (16.95) -chicken drypot The cumin beef had a lot of cumin flavor. The hot and sour soup was also some of the best I've ever had. The chicken drypot was on point with mala flavor and seasoning. The only things I didn't like was the egg roll and the spicy chicken with fresh pepper had bone in it.
