Got a reservation for my wife's birthday as we were visiting SD for the weekend. Was recommended this place by a friend and was not disappointed. Ordered the grilled Octopus, Bucatini Amatriciana, and the Calabrese Habanero Pizza. Octopus was perfectly cooked and the sauce gave the dish a great taste. Bucatini was our favorite as the sauce was hearty and had a very nice taste with the pork and veal. No sauce was left as I used it for the rest of my pizza crust. The pizza was very interesting. Don't let the habanero scare you as it was not too spicy. Nicely cooked dough.
Absolutely loved this place! Came here as a celebration for starting a new job and the waiter surprised us with champagne at the end to congratulate me! The food is amazing, the cocktails are great, and the furniture and ambiance inside is perfect for a date, celebration, or catching up with friends in a very tasty Italian restaurant. I especially loved this because it felt like we were in Little Italy downtown due to how authentic and impressive the food was, minus the struggle of finding parking. I’d definitely love to come back!
Definitely order at least one of the small bites. We really enjoyed the fried squash blossoms and grilled octopus which was perfectly cooked. The mushroom pizza was amazing as well! The bucatini pasta was ok - I’d like to return to try a different pasta. They do have great service though! Easy to find parking on Saturday either at a lot or paid meter(free after 6pm). I love that they sell wines by the bottle at retain price and just charge a corkage fee($10). You can also bring your own and pay a slightly higher fee ($25)
