We came here for the 7 course chefs menu and was extremely disappointed with our experience. It states that during course 5, the chef would come out to shave fresh truffles and do a little meet and greet with us but that did not happen. They did not even put truffles on the pasta in the kitchen. Additionally, we had to ask for the cookbook instead of it given to us which was also included in the 7 course menu. The experience could have also been enhanced by explaining the dish which usually occurs at higher end restaurants. Overall, I would not recommend this place, especially for the price. Finally, the food was mediocre at best. We have been to much better vegan restaurants for a fraction of the price.
First , I would like to welcome them to our neighborhood and I am hoping and wishing to come back here and change this to a 5 star. Because the restaurant is beautiful. Calabasas needs such an environment . But I will put this comment here with only 3 stars and all 3 goes to the design , tables, decorations and the bar. I go to the restaurants which serves vegan food . I am sure Crossroads can do a much better job on the food specially where people don’t care about a few bucks more or less. This was my first night here but I will at least go back 5 or maybe 10 more times and hopefully I will come back here and change this to a Big Five Stars .
As a vegan for almost 30 years, I have waited for months for this place to finally open. What a disappointment :( The location is great, the restaurant is beautiful with great ambiance, and the service is superb. The food, however, is below mediocre. The portions are small, yet expensive. I ordered the Italian sausage, which tasted like it was bought from Ralphs next door. The calamari was nothing but bread crumbs, as was the milanese. The cheese plate was delicious, however, it came with 5 TINY slices of baguette (probably the equivalent of 2 normal size slices) and when we asked for more bread, we were charged extra for additional 5 tiny slices. Very very disappointing. I will not be back.
