First place I ate after arriving San Diego. Was immediately seated on the weekend even though the place was packed. Bright, airy and cheery on the inside. Staff was friendly and service was decent considering how busy they were. Shrimp omelet with hollandaise sauce was stuffed with shrimp and cheese and very flavorful. Home fries were crispy and seasoned well. Would definitely recommend

This place is a regular place for me when I'm in that area of town. Usually for breakfast. Price is a bit higher than others but not unreasonable. I usually get either The Works with pancakes. If I don't order this dish, I order the Cafe Eggs dish which is basically an egg croissant sandwich. You can't go wrong with either choice; but don't limit yourself to those choices. The service here is friendly and I've had no issues; in fact they know what I like to order from my previous visits. That's some good personalized service. I only have one complaint, on the Cafe Eggs croissant dish. I would have the choice of fresh fruit. That option has been eliminated as an included side and is now a paid extra. This would be a great thing to restore to the restaurant.
