Crate Restaurant & Wine Bar

This is best place I’ve been in Greer, SC. My girlfriend and I are originally from Maryland and are down here for a wedding. Saw this place on Yelp, gave it a shot and it was so worth it. We aren’t people who are usually in a rush and they took their time with the food which I loved. I don’t want a quick meal that comes out in 10 minutes. They took their time and it really paid off with how quality the food was. The music was fantastic, food was to die for. Highly recommend the Lobster Sliders if they’re on the menu as well as the Charcuterie board! Also, huge shoutout to Jason our server. He was such a nice guy, and gave us great service.

The atmosphere is very nice and private. I have enjoyed visiting Crate on a couple recent occasions and had an ok experience. The food that I was able to get on past visits was very good and worth the price. The drinks were ok. On my previous visits, I felt like the wait times for food and drinks were longer than they should have been and the restaurant was empty (a handful of patrons) but my food was good after the wait so I accepted the wait time. Last night (Tuesday night) was different. The restaurant was full, at least 4 servers- my party was not greeted by anyone. Eventually I got a servers attention after being there over 30 minutes. She took my order, and I told her I would like to order drinks and she said ok and never returned. We never got our food, never got to order drinks and we were there listening to music for 2 hours. I would have left sooner if it were not for the music. Based on the declining experiences, I am not sure if I would give them another try.

We were there on karaoke night and the atmosphere was fun and lively. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. I will definitely return with my husband for a date night and with my sons for karaoke.
