Reviews for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Me and my husband had breakfast there yesterday. Since the pandemic we had not dined in as much and noticed the food taste better than of late. Mr. Chase, the manager, was exceptional and made sure our experience was above our expectations. He shared that what we had experienced was an intentional focus of his for the restaurant. He was very pleaseant and kind and really made our day.
My husband and I were treated to a meal there. I got country fried steak. Tasted like it was mixed with another meat, the broccolli wasn't cooked enough and had no butter on it at all, mashed potatos were cold, but gravy was warm, also had suppose to be fried okra. I love it, but almost broke my tooth on first bite. It was like a rock. I checked other pieces before I ate them. Being baked instead of fried was not as good. I will say that I sent the ones back to the manager that were rocks, and to tell him they aren't fit to eat. He sent out more, and still not as good as when they are fried. I order fried and that's what I want. That's what I pay for. Anyway the food is not as good as it use to be. Maybe try something else next time. I don't eat their roast Because it comes out with too much fat and gristle. Which would make me throw up Because that is the reaction I have to stuff like that.. and I love roast,, but not going to pay that much and even get a good piece of meat.
Terrible service! Waited 1.5 hours for food to be served. Had to tell the waiter we needed silverware as none was provided. Never served rolls. Eggs had strong smell of urine. Waiter never came back for refills. During this time 2 other people walked out as they had been waiting over 1 hour for drinks. If providing 0 stars was an option that is what I would give. This is the "Old Timers breakfast" very awful for the price and didnt eat it due to the smell. The Skillet Sirloin was cold and the chicken strips was the size of chicken nuggets (3 pieces). Walked in at 7:40ish PM and didn't receive the meals till 9:20 PM. Awful!!!
