I always heard people saying that Cowford was a very expensive and not that great food experience. I put off trying their food for 4 years. Last night I decided to make reservations to celebrate my best friend's birthday and I have no words to describe how delicious was EVERYTHING! The appetizers, the drinks, the main courses! On top of that the service was expectacular. My water glass was never empty, our drinks were wholesome and delicious, they even gave me a new drink because my glass was cracked. The food portions and the flavors are insanely good! Cowford is now my especial event go to restaurant. As for the prices, I can say that you get what you pay for, and in this case I can tell we got the best in town and probably for a third more of what we would have paid in other places.
This restaurant came highly recommended by friends so this review is disappointing to write. The service was stellar but the food was disappointingly underwhelming. The sides we ordered (risotto, kale and spinach, and brussel sprouts) lacked any seasoning, like no salt or pepper at all. The bone-in ribeye steak was just ok. The cinnamon roll brulee was phenomenal though as I've never had anything like it. I hate to say it but for the price point I expected better and won't be back. ????
My husband loves a good steak, so I took him for his birthday. The place is stunning, the service was impeccable, and the rooftop was nice as well. Well worth the experience. Hubby said it was one of the best steaks he's had!
