My husband and I finally made it over to Cooper's Hawk. Luckily for us it wasn't too busy when we arrived for an early dinner on a Saturday, just before 5p, though it was a full house as we left. The wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable & capable without being overly present. The food was really top notch for the area (I have high standards as I just returned from France where I had 3 Michelin Star restaurant experiences on my mind). We shared the Crispy Brussel Sprouts & suggested pairing, then ordered seperate seafood entrees w/pairings-- the Shrimp & Scallop Risotto and Jambalaya-- and shared a Key Lime Pie for desert. The brussel sprouts were so tasty that I will probably try to recreate them at home. The wine pairings were appropriate for the dishes and very generous. The seafood was cooked through but still soft-textured. The desert was well executed but nothing special. The menu is pricey but entirely appropriate for what you are getting. We celebrated my son’s birthday here with lunch on Sunday, and everyone loved it! This chicken risotto pictured was so delicious, my son’s jambalaya was excellent, my wife had a hearty chicken & mushroom dish served over mashed potatoes that was so good! They treated him to a couple rich chocolate truffles for his birthday too! Service was excellent and the food served quickly, hot, and beautifully presented. It was a lovely experience. It is a little expensive but we really enjoyed it and will go again.
