Community BBQ and Grill

New establishment. Staff was super friendly, but no one seemed to know what was going on. Chalk board leaning against the wall no decor what so ever. Didn’t appear ready for the public. They were out of several meat options which is expected at a barbecue place but it took three different times asking to get an answer on what was actually available. We did have an appetizer “Meteor Bites” which were good, better with barbecue then the ranch offered. Will try them again for lunch in 6 months if still open.

It's a nice barbecue place. I ordered a Brisket sandwich and miracle fries. Meat is lean and very soft and tasty. One order of fries is enough for two people. It comes loaded.

We tried their new location today for lunch and were not disappointed. We had the I-30 Plate, which is a selection of 3 meats and 2 sides. We had the sliced brisket, ribs, and sausage with beans and okra for sides. The pricing was reasonable (I think $22). The meat was nicely smoked and flavorful. The beans and okra were also very good. I really appreciate the fact that they do not overly season their BBQ with black pepper and allow the flavor of the smoke and meat to stand mostly on its own. The only mild criticism I can offer is that the brisket was sliced much too thin. The slices were about an eighth of an inch thick which is unusual for a serious BBQ establishment. The staff is exceptionally friendly and were sincere in their efforts to ensure we had a good dining experience. Be warned that the restaurant is still very new and not completely settled yet. There was no decor on the walls and the bar was not functional. My hope is that they will resurrect the bar soon as I fear th
