Cochino Taco

Great neighborhood restaurant! I thought it was fast casual, but it is a sit down restaurant. Food comes out hot & fresh! The green chili tater tots were yummy! I couldn’t eat them with the pork or cheese, so hubby got them on the side. Speaking of on the side - ask for a side of fresno mayo & put it on everything! Sooooo delicious! And ask for extra avocado tomatillo on carne asada taco. This avocado tostada was loaded with delicious fresh veggies! Jicama, tomatoes, cucumbers, radish, guacamole & cilantro. I totally dug this dish!

Very decent tacos: tinga 10/10, barbacoa 8/10, carnitas 9/10, carne asada 7/10. All very good except carne asada was lacking a proper serving of meat and the flavor was pretty dull, it’s my favorite taco to order so I was a little disappointed. The tinga was excellent- great flavor! We came for lunch and were pleased it was happy hour. I like that their happy hour is very long from 11-6pm so you can try some of their items at a more affordable price. We ordered the Doritos nachos off the HH menu and they were ok, I wouldn’t order them again. There’s lots of other options that I’ll definitely try next time. The service was fast and friendly- our food came out within minutes. I didn’t catch our waitress’ name but she did a great job waiting on us. It’s a cool spot near Swedish Hospital. We didn’t order drinks but the bar is large with lots of liquor options.

I am rating 4 stars because the food was pretty exceptional. I liked the decor and vibes of the restaurant, and the bartender who took my order was friendly. However, my order was incorrect and short 1 taco. I called and they were more than quick to rectify the error, as well as professional and kind. I will definitely return and try more delicious food and eat in next time. Thank you for service, delicious food, and for correcting the minor mistake. All said and done I am a happy customer.
