Clutch on the Canal

I used to recommend this place to everyone when they first opened in Spencerport. The first few months, the food was AMAZING. But as we know, all good things have to come to an end. A few months ago, we had a bad experience with the food. Things just weren’t up to par. Figured they had an off night. Gave them another shot a few months later and everything was disgusting. Place smelled weird, food was terrible and even the water tasted bad. We thought this was the end but yesterday we decided to give them one final shot. And again, they failed. Gross tasting food, chicken had hardly had any meat in it, the coating of the chicken was rock hard, empty mozzarella sticks, etc. This place is really bad now… I recommend you save your money.

Was very excited when they remodeled this place and moved in. Been here a few times. Once to eat during day and the food did not live up to its reputation. Basic bar food. Outside seating is ok but very basic. Went at night a few times for games and the place was a train wreck. The bar is cramped, the TVs are not in good positions. If you are expecting a sports bar atmosphere then don’t go here. I don’t know what I would call it but it’s filled with a bunch of clowns on both sides of the bar dancing to blaring music. Could be a great bar but unfortunately it isn’t. Hopefully they figure something out and improve. The old Clutch was 1000% better than this place.

We stopped by for lunch riding our bleed on the canal, nice setting on the water. It was a beautiful suny Day and it seemed quite busy by our server (Amber) took good care of us. Food was good, nachos with a couple of drinks. Busy inside as well. We've been here before and Like it, relaxing. I do have one issue. On the deck there is a wired fence for safety but had a large opening for boaters to enter. Watch your children. I would otherwise give a 5 star for this.
