Came in for a late lunch on Sunday and found a seat right away. They were well staffed compared to many places these days. The service was great throughout our lunch. I had a Belgian waffle and an egg and the jalapeno sausage. The Belgian waffle was pretty good though I like mine with a bit of a crunchy shell and soft on the inside. This one was soft but not too heavy. The egg was cooked perfectly but the jalapeño sausage was burnt up a bit and essentially half of a sausage they then cut in half. ???? Prices were not bad. They were a little skimpy on some items like the biscuits and gravy only had a single biscuit snd my half sausage. All in all I would return and look forward to trying some of their other items.
Pancakes were too think, not cooked all the way through, and gooey inside—very underwhelming (see pic). I ordered the “Two Eggs” plate and the serving size looked like one egg. The server mentioned that their egg supplier had been delivering smaller than average eggs. Redeeming Qualities: • friendly service • hometown feel • good coffee
I found out about this place because I saw it recommended by over a dozen people asking about a good breakfast in the area. I actually had the BLT and onion rings and they had the French toast eggs and bacon. BLT was good, but it's hard to mess up a BLT. I personally wish it was either a little more bacon or maybe a thick cut, but the tomatoes were very nice and it was made well. The onion rings were excellent. The French toast was really good too and I am told the rest was made well. Service was fast and servers were nice and food came out quick. Can't wait to go back and try more (I am told the breakfast tacos are great)
