City View Tacos

It was my first time here but it won't be my last!???? These were by far some of the best tacos I've ever had and I definitely understand the line now. I'm so glad I called in my order because it prevented me from waiting forever for my order and waiting in the road as well. Yes their line stretches out to the road but even then they move quite fast I'll say. I got the #1 combo with corn tortillas and pastor, it comes with beans and rice and I got grilled onions on the side. It comes with everything except the cheese, and grilled onions, those are extra but regular onions are included with the combo but I wanted grilled. And the sour cream I added myself at home. Y'all need to check out this joint for real, because the only bad thing I have to say in this review is that I've lived in Desoto almost a year and I'm always passing by the place but didn't try the tacos until last night, so I've really been missing out!????

Slow service, excellent food! Staff could be a bit friendlier, but I still give them a 4 star because of how delicious the tacos are! My wife and I are very picky. It's got to be the real deal for us. And City View ALWAYS delivers! If they were a bit more efficient (and friendly) AND if elotes could be paid for with a visa card, I'd score them a 5 star! Great local place!

I’ve been going here for YEARS! They have the best tacos and gorditas that I’ve had from anywhere. The burritos are meh and I haven’t tried the flautas or quesadillas yet, but I kinda wish they had sopes because I feel like those would be bomb as well…. But let me tell you, since the pandemic, their service has gone ALL THE WAY downhill. I understand COVID threw people for a loop and businesses had to find a way to still serve the public and be safe, but we’re two years in and they are still operating as if it’s day 3 of the pandemic. Outside of that, the workers ignore people who walk up to the window, or sometimes don’t even call your name when your food is done so it just sits there until you think to yourself, you know…. It’s been a long time, I should go check on my order. This “new” method of everyone HAVING to order through the drive thru or call ahead is atrocious. It’s not doing anything but hurting them. Maybe it’s only this way at night since that’s the only time I’m able to
