Food was good. Service was very lacking. Had to ask other servers for drinks, and assistance.
City Kitchen is the best restaurant in the Grosse Points period.. The fish is their signature dish.. especially the halibut (in the pizza oven) and the trout. I noted that they were closed recently because of staff shortages..Does anyone know if they will reopen?
We came to celebrate my sister's birthday. The service was awful. We We sat and watched others arrive after us dine and leave. I cannot believe we were treated so poorly. I recognize many restaurants are struggling to hire and retain staff but what was disconcerting is that several parties received very timely service. So, disappointing my sister did not complain. I flew in from out of town to make.sure my sister had a memorable.and joyous birthday. You guys failed big TIME. We are still waiting for our entrees, while watching yet another party that arrived well.after we did leave. Mason was our waiter kind young man but not trained.
