My husband and I were so excited about a new Mexican restaurant here in Azle because the food in Azle is so bad… So we went and had dinner there last Friday night the staff were friendly the chips and salsa were great I ordered a taco and a cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice had zero flavor the beans were OK the cheese enchilada seemed like it was cooked hours before and then just warm sauce poured on top of it because the cheese inside the enchilada was hard and it just had no flavor at all. The taco the meat sauce or the meat was very bland as well Taco Bell is better I hate to say that but it’s true. Not good won’t be going back
This was the worst Mexican food I've ever had. The food was bland, the guacamole had to come from a can and they served some cheap butter imitation that we couldn't/wouldn't eat. We waited a long time and finally had to ask for our check and was told we got it at the counter where we were to pay. Why they didn't tell us that is beyond me.
Have always loved Chuy's since a kid, so glad they are expanding to offer their delicious Tex Mex out here! Today I had the eggs with chorizo and potatoes with a side of their refried beans. That with some fresh made flour tortillas and it was exactly what I needed to start this weekend! I also got a barbacoa taco, it had a little more fat than i like, but it was still very tasty. And of course, I can't ever miss their chips an salsa with queso dip definitely one of those places that falls under comfort food category for me. Definitely recommend it to those that still haven tried it!
