My husband and I use to frequent China Chef and was a place we'd go often when we first started dating 26 years ago and haven't been there in awhile. The environment, service and food were so good. Missing the great tasting food we decided to take a drive and eat dinner there. We arrived at 4 pm, no cars parked anywhere. We thought it had gone out if business. Went inside, no lights on and then as we were being seated they turned the lights on, just kind of creepy. Looking around, the place wasn't what we remembered. It was dirty! Walls dirty, crumbs in creases of seats, carpet dirty, looked really run down. Egg rolls were disgusting, filling was sticky and clumped together. Took one bite and sent them back. Got our dinners, beef chop suey and just didn't taste fresh at all and was luke warm. Needless to say we didn't eat it! Paid the bill, left there still hungry and wasted $40! Had to stop and get dinner somewhere else. Very disappointed, and will never go back again. Definitely not
It’s just the best. Especially amazing are the egg rolls and fried rice. Large shrimp in everything that has shrimp, not the lame little ones other places use. Do your self a favor and order the homemade sweet and sour.
Don't waste your time ! Food & service were both terrible. Waitress had no recommendations. Appetizers tasted ok, but entrees were Very Very bland, no flavors, minimal meat. Cashew Chicken had about 8 nuts & noodles laid on top of 2 flat cuts of chicken.. looked like it went from freezer to plate.. . Shrimp Lo-Mein was made with Ramen Noodles & a clear white sauce... No Terriachi, No flavors. We had to ask for Soy & sweet / sour Sauce. Terrible experience, will NOT be going back.
