Chimalma Taco Bar Co.

I had a great experience here. Server was nice, the tacos tasted great, and the atmosphere was fun. Portions however were a bit small for the price but given that it's in downtown Dallas, it makes sense. Come here when you aren't too hungry and you'll have a great time! Frozen marg was great and out of all the tacos I had, (carnitas, brisket, and pollo al pastor) pollo al pastor was definitely my favorite. Best flavor out of all of them and chicken was cooked very well. I should have listened to my sever and gotten them the first time around. Fancy tortillas too!

We were hankering for Mexican lunch on Saturday that was within a walk somewhere between our hotel and the downtown historic district. Chimalma made sense and it did not disappoint. The service was welcoming and prompt, and wonderfully sustained during our time. We started with chips and guacamole and they happily accommodated our desire for salsa. There’s a full assortment of tacos available, but I went for the chicken enchilada with mole sauce. Delicious and enough to fuel me for afternoon touristy things. We have another lunch slot to fill before we fly home, and we’ll definitely make a repeat lunch, it is that good.

On a beautiful night hubby and I decided to stop by and try it out....So glad we did!! Food was delicious and fresh. Smaller portions than most, but the taste makes up for it. Service was good, just so impressed with how good everything tasted at a great price and nice atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and try their drinks!!
