We went to this place for lunch. I heard it is the best Chinese restaurant in St. Louis. The food were really authentic. Unlike other Chinese restaurants on olive boulevard, you can tell this Chilispot’s ingredients are all very fresh, they even have the rare dish, grilled fish, which is good though not as good as the Chicago ones.

Worst and waste food I ever ate in my entire life. Everything is too much oil and the food is spoiled. I never recommend this restaurant. Please don’t go ever and never. I just saw they responded and saying authentic food. You know how does salt and pepper chicken will be just deep fired in oil and served it. Have you ever eat yourself that food. I have tried Sichuan authentic food lot of places but Chillispot worst both taste and customer service. if you simply respond it’s authentic food and it doesn’t mean the food is good. Before you respond try to taste that food yourself.

Good food and very bad service. We went there for lunch and wait for a while to get the menu and another quite long time to order the food. After the food was served, no body cared about us — no refill for water, no asking. We even waited for a very long time to get the check and still nobody came over. We eventually had to stand up and went to the front desk to ask for the check. We were so disappointed at the service so we did not leave too much tip. And then when we get our leftover food into boxes, the server came and complained about the tip. I was really annoyed! How they want to earn money without offering any service and just stand there chatting with each other! I cannot believe they hire such people asking tips from the customers! I don’t think we will come back and will not recommend this place at least for dine in.
