Checkers

Drive past this dump and do not stop! I guess since it is in a neighborhood not considered to be "well-off", they give bottom of the barrel food. I ordered a 5PC chicken tender, a number 1, large, with a strawberry fanta. The best part of that meal was the fountain drink. The lettuce and tomato was wilted and old. The burger patties and fries were stone cold. Checkers fries normally have some fluff to them. They fried those fries last night and reheated them. If you want Checkers, take the drive. Head North on US1 and go to the one off of SW 168 Street. You even have to pay 75 cents for a small size of ranch for your tenders. I hope this place goes out of business.

The first problem was that I was ignored at the drive thru order box. I drove up to the window and ordered there. The food at the Homestead Checkers had been high quality. Something has drastically changed. The once crispy flavorful fries were limp and soggy. The chicken bites were also dripping in grease and not well cooked. The lines of customers were gone, now I know why and I won't be spending my money there.

The manager seem nice at first until I asked for one extra ranch sauce. She seemed bothered and charged me 75 cents extra even though I ordered a 10 piece chicken tender meal and I had only one dipping sauce.
