What a great location with a family feel as soon as you walk in the door. The owner greets you with a smile and friendly vibe. Mama is even back there grillin up cheese steaks and they are delicious! Best I've had in long time and I'm from the east coast! I'll be back.
10/1/2022: The 87th Street Chartroose Caboose is a local place I like to go when I don't want the typical fast food drive thru fare. Tonight has made me never want to go back. I got home with my chicken zephyr and onion rings and found a big wad of what appears to be hair or ??? in my sandwich. I should have driven back over there and lodged a complaint and gotten a refund, but sadly I just threw it in the trash. There were 3 employees there at the time I ordered and I am not confident enough in them to go through the hassle. I am not squeamish, but this was really disgusting. I guess next time I will need to drive out of my way to go to the Metcalf location. It has always been good.
Stopped in at 1030am this morning and had The Zephyr. Cheesesteak, mushrooms and onions. Fantastic My Wife had The Chief. Highly recommend
