Visited Ohio for the first time. On the bank of Ohio River across for our suit we where overjoyed to discover the Chart House. We grew up in Southern California & the Chart Houses from Los Angles to San Diego where our favorites! On the river we had a had a taste for fish - we selected swordfish, snapper & salmon, all where delicious. The lemon herb crusted salmon was the highlight of the three!!
We had dinner there during happy hours. It turned out happy hours drink were only available at the bar area not the sit down area, which seemed strange to us. Waitress was a super nice lady and I would give her a 5 stars. Reason of taking off 2 stars was there were so many sand in their oysters like they didn’t clean them before serving them. Atmosphere was nice. I ordered Portugal seafood stew and it was flavorless and so were other dishes ordered by my friends. However they had pretty good view next by the river and you could stare at Ohio while eating your meal!
My husband and I went here over the weekend for an anniversary celebration. The hostess was prompt and greeted us as soon as we walked in and kept us updated on how long it would take for the table after confirming the reservation. The server was very knowledgeable on the menu and suggestions for dinner. The restaurant made us a anniversary dessert which was delicious and they even made special menus with Happy Anniversary on them and we got to keep them which was very special to us. The food was above and beyond what we expected and was very delicious and hot. Overall, the chart house was amazing and I for sure recommend this place for any special event and we will for sure return again. Thank you for making our 4th anniversary one to remember.
