Charlie's Homemade Ice Cream & Burgers

We hired Charlie's for our children's birthday party - a 3-flavor ice cream bar for roughly 40 attendees. Let me tell you, TOTAL HIT. Kids loved it, adults loved it (possibly more?) and it was amazing. Ashley was great and we will be hiring them for basically every party from now on.

I've never had a great experience at this place. I don't know why I keep going back because it's just mediocre. Today I went and wanted a specific ice cream but when I looked and saw it was iced over on top and almost empty I asked if there was another in the back. She said yes and brought it out but then she scooped from the old bucket and gave me very icy and gummy ice cream. The reason I asked if there was a second in the back was because I wanted a fresh one. I ended up throwing it away because it was too crunchy and the texture was not fluffy. Then my husband got another flavor which he ended up throwing away because it was disgusting.

Way overpriced for mediocre food! We could have gotten better burgers and more of them at a fast food joint for that price... Our son's kid's burger was the size of a slider for like $7.50 so they basically charged us for a meatball with a bun and a hand full of curly fries. My salad was a good portion and the chili was on point but the prices were way off. The lady who took our order and cooked it was very kind and sweet and she was just awesome and we know it's not her fault she's just doing her job. We were so excited to try it out because we read all of the good reviews online but in actuality 3 stars is all we can give for the food and incredibly high prices. If they'd just lower their prices fairly according to portions and not charge separately for fries they'd be much better off. It wasn't worth the gas to get there.
