We had THE BEST SERVER EVER! I wish the food matched HIS exceptional service and attention to our family. We all really liked the vibe of the restaurant very much. It has lots of nooks and crannies. Kind of neat. Fun bar area & brick and old world decor. ???? The bathrooms were relatively clean but definitely could have been better. ????All of us had decent food however, my husband's ribs, that he was sooo looking forward to, and are ubiquitous in BBQ cooking so it was a huge disappointment for him to go to this restaurant on a recommendation, spend his money, take the time to drive our family into Memphis and HIS meal be a giant let down. No good. We all tried them. They were tough, tough, dry, chewy. ???? That's NOT how ribs should be. Not sure if we will go there ever again. We shall see.
We got in, at just after 5. We timed it perfectly. We were seated immediately and our dining area was empty but quickly filled in 10 minutes. We beat the rush of people coming from the Peabody duck parade. I also called about a week before. She said they seat 450. Call for reservations bigger than 5. I had the brisket and my husband had ribs. Everything came fast and was amazing. We loved the beans and slaw too. We had a great experience. Definitely will be ordering sauce off line. Vegetarian options: It was black bean based
Staff was friendly and answered our questions. Food came out quickly. We ordered the ribs and chicken. They use a dry rub and have two sauces on the table to choose from. Both the chicken and ribs were a bit over cooked. The ribs were not falling off the bone. The flavor was excellent though. It came with baked beans and slaw, both were great. The bread was under the chicken and was soggy. Overall, it was okay.
