Chapala Restaurant & Fruit Cup

Cool little hole in the wall. If you are tired of the machine manufactured food in drive-thrus, give this place a try. It's reasonably priced and the breakfast and food is home cooked.

I've been here a bunch of times for breakfast and tacos are always good (homemade tortillas too). However today my girlfriend order a tortilla soup and it was awful. The chicken looked dry and was clearly not stewed in a pot of soup. We asked the waitress if they make the chicken with the soup and she said they don't make a pot of soup they just add all the ingredients when someone orders it. We sent it back and changed it for some breakfast tacos. When we paid we got charged for the soup that we did not eat. Although I've been coming here for several years, the fact that they had the audacity to charge us for a soup that we went back, we will never come back. So if the restaurant owner cares, he/she will respond to this. Think about the future visits that will not happen because of this experience. And you can bet we will tell all our friends and family about this. So because of a soup this restaurant is gonna lose a bunch of future business. Too bad.
