Cattle Ranch

For good times and good steaks head to the Cattle Ranch. Portions are plenty and it’s an excellent value. Service is friendly! Good liquor pours. Just one minor complaint: We’d love to hear some classic country every now and then. The new stuff doesn’t quite cut it for the dated but awesome interior.

If you want to feel like you’ve taken a time machine back to the 1970s, this is the spot for you! Classic old school steakhouse that looks like somewhere out of an old movie. Service is very slow, but friendly, and the food is very good, but not great. I ordered the 32oz cowboy porterhouse, which had more fat than I would prefer, and it wasn’t the most tender piece of steak I’ve ever had, but it was nicely grilled and tasted good dunked in their house made creamy peppercorn dressing (which is one of the thickest most delicious salad dressings I’ve ever had!). The loaded cheese fries (called “buckskins”) were the other highlight, a huge pile of steak fries loaded with cheese and bacon, which I will definitely order again if I decide to return.

Years ago this place was great. Unfortunately now it's not at all. Steak was not the right temp no seasoned. Everything tastes burnt on charcoal. The burger was not edible. The fried food was ok. The bread was a nice touch but served with margarine like you get at McDonald's little cups not fresh butter. Just over all not satisfied. But the service was nice.
