Casa Juan Restaurant

Wow! I asked the clerk at the DoubleTree to suggest a Cuban Restaurant and she gave me four to choose from. After a bit more conversation I choose Casa Juan. And not far from the hotel. Was it ever the right choice. With the help from my fantastic server I order Puerco Asado...and it was the best pork I have ever had. The onions were an integral part of the dish and I loved the Fried Pork Rind on top. When I struggled to choose between sweet plantains and green plantains he brought me one of each. I preferred the sweet just a bit more. Then I ordered one of my favorite desserts, Flan. This had a twist- a coconut topping (I chose) served with plenty of Carmel sauce and topped off with two dollops of whipped cream. The atmosphere is basic but the food is wonderful. And I thought very reasonable, if not inexpensive. I could have easily split the Asado dish and been happily full! While pictures tell a lot, for the full effect you have got to smell and taste this food. You’ll be glad you

Great place to have breakfast. I love the cafesito. My favorite place.

Wow what a great little place. Our server was so nice, the mojitos are ridiculously good and the sampler for two was so much delicious food. We had such a wonderful experience would definitely go again.
