Fantastic food; the tiramisu was homemade and is a must-try. The grilled calamari for an appetizer is needed for everyone to share. Don't forget to get a mint lemon citrus tea to complete the night. Service was just okay. However, the food made up for that.
This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I can't say that I was impressed. After standing in a line for a while, we were seated outside where people constantly walked by our table which wasn't exactly comfortable. At the beginning our waiter was constantly hoovering around our table to see if we finished appetizers and once he served us the main course, we couldn't find the guy for the life of us. We begged other waiters to find him for us and occasionally got help from the buss boy. The food was just fine and some of the food presentation lacked imagination. My date ordered an after-dinner drink which the waiter found out they didn't have. Instead of asking my date what he would like instead, he just chose a random drink for him and brought it to the table. My date turned down the drink as it wasn't something he was interested in. Then we wanted to pay our check but couldn't find the guy again. Overall, we left the restaurant more annoyed and disappointed than happy.
Stopped in for a quick bite today at Bal Harbor. The quality of the food and the presentation were lacklustre. The burrata is what I would imagine if a blind person who has never seen a burrata before decided to make one. The 4 cheese pizza was ok but nothing special. I’ve also never had an espresso that was a full cup of watered down coffee. I’m hoping this was just an off day as I could not figure out how this place was so highly rated.
