This was by far the worst Mexican food that I have had in ages. This is because normally I eat at Federico's, that hasn't let me down in almost 20 years, but figured I would try something different. I ate at Carolina's right after the opened in Peoria having eaten at the original often, and found them mediocre, but after like 10 years figured I would try them again. Half the order was wrong, other parts were miserably trashed or inexplicable. I ordered a chimichanga, and I ended up with enchiladas. My girlfriend ordered tamales and got one that was absolutely no meat, nothing but corn meal, and the other one was a buttered tortilla. We ordered some tacos to try, they were disintegrated and just like a pile of melted shell and stuff. They were out of salsa and couldn't be bothered to refill it either when there too. An absolutely miserable experience, I will never ever, ever go back.
I really expected better food quality especially waiting 25 minutes for my food and watching others walk in, place their order and walk out with their food and obviously I was forgotten about. I only ordered a burrito and a tostada. And this is the quality of tostada I got. No apologies from employees, nothing! I mean how do you serve this mess to customers? Why not put the tostadas in a box? I'm very disappointed!
This place is ways busy and super slow.I suggest calling ahead or online ordering. I enjoy the taco salad, quesadillas and don't forget the iconic chips and hot sauce. Staff are very nice. Food : 4/5 | Service : 3/5 | Atmosphere : 3/5 … More
