Caribbean Gourmet

AYooooo their beef stew was BOMB!! I surprised myself by finishing the whole thing, even though the plate was massive cause it was so good. I wish there was more Caribbean food near me in LA proper, but this place def warrants another visit!

I ordered the chicken curry, roti and jerk chicken with high hopes of really wanting to like this place. Having experienced eating at 3Dives in Jamaica (& The Islands in Brooklyn), the flavours were delicious, balanced and fresh. Unfortunately you won't get that here. Chicken was tough and it looks great fresh but, after a few mins on the plate, the level of oil dripping off was too much. Flavour wise, too much and overpowering with a high level of salt in the curry. Unfortunately I won't come back but, I'd highly recommend the chef to tone it down a bit and bring balance on flavor with lighter use of oil. It's a promising place with authentic food if it can tweak the dishes.

Fantastic. Been wanting to come to Blossom Hall market for some time now. My wife and I arrived just as the place was opening. I went straight to Caribbean, gourmet and new what I wanted. I requested more veggies and no rice or beans which they accommodated. It took about 10 minutes and my lunch box was steaming hot. I was so full that I probably could have split it up, but I truly enjoy the whole dish. The plantains were great also.
