Best food experience. We are in town for the holiday and a friend recommended Cap City. I've had amazing steak at Restaurants in Las Vegas costing $150 for the steak alone and this was better. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Each item was the best I've ever eaten alone but together on 1 plate blew me away. The twice baked potato was amazing, the steak cooked to perfection mid-rare and well salted, the broccoli steamed then brushed with a garlic butter. Try the Peanut Butter chocolate pie for desert. It's hands down the most indulgent and decadent delicious bite. This restaurant is a gem and I'm sad I only get to eat here if I come back to Columbus.
Been to Cap City twice in a couple of weeks. The first time, I wasn't sure what I was hungry for, so I asked our server her thoughts on 1) the meatloaf, or 2) the fish & chips. There are plenty of options, but I thought those were different enough to be an interesting choice. She said both are ordered quite a bit, but she preferred the meatloaf. So... I had meatloaf. It was wonderful. Served open-faced, a thick slice of bread topped with a thick slice of meatloaf and a large pile of mashed potatoes and gravy. Yum!!! The second time, I didn't ask for a recommendation. I decided to try the fish and chips. The portion size was good. The food was... meh. Nothing special. Just plain fried fish and fries. The small cup of coleslaw was the one item with an enticing flavor profile. Will I go back to Cap City? Of course! Will I order the meatloaf again? Yes indeed! The fish & chips? Uh... No. Instead, I will most likely try some of the other menu items. I give 5 stars because they do have some
It's like entering a restaurant on the cruise ship! The service was top-notch, our server was very attentive! Great portions and quite hearty! Loved the free rolls, it's like a simple cinnamon roll. ????Blue Cheese Chips (⭐️⭐️⭐️): tastes just like cape cod kettle chips + blue cheese crumbles and a small drizzle of sauce. Makes sense since the sauced chips became soggy. ????Calamari (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): loved this, airy light and the slightly sweet sauce was finger-lickin' good! Not chewy and really well done! ????Soup of the Day-Broccoli Cheddar (⭐️⭐️⭐️): Tasty but too heavy and rich for me, would've loved it with some crunchy toast to dip or something ????Meatloaf (⭐️⭐️⭐️): great mash potatoes, flavorful and moist meatloaf ????Beef Stroganoff (⭐️⭐️⭐️): the noodles need some work, they were overly chewy and quite tough but enjoyed the sauce ????PIna Colada Pie (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): loved the pineapple chunks, but if the top portion could be a torched meringue then this would be a 10/10.
