California Pizza Kitchen at Cerritos

I came here after a long day at work and the staff were so inviting and friendly. They made the experience so chill and I was very pleased with the service and the exceptional delicious food. Ordered the Thai pizza and the chicken tequila fettuccine and both are so flavorful and amazing. Truly artisan food and drinks here. The cocktails were amazing.

Service definitely has gotten MUCH better than before. We were seated promptly. The waitress was AMAZING...unfortunately, I didn't get her name but she had blue and purple hair. Food came out in a timely manner so that was ideal. What we ordered: Tortilla Soup: Perfect texture with the right amount of tortilla strips on top. I added hot sauce which gave a great kit. Chicken Piccata: Unfortunately, this dish was toooo lemon-y for me. I know it should taste like lemons but there was so much I felt to tingle of citrus lingering. If you adore lemon, go for it. Ribeye: Lovely plating. The steak was glistening. The fingerling potatoes were decent, temp on some a little to cold for my preferenc. Arugula for me is always a fav. Thai Crunch Salad: My daughter ordered this with avocados and extra dressing on the side. I had some and it was fresh and the flavors were terrific. Hadn't been to CPK for quite some time and decided to order take out earlier today. My wife and I ordered the classic BBQ Chicken Pizza. In short. . . .perhaps the worst tasting pizza we've EVER had - and that's saying something. The pizza looked almost as bad as it tasted and the only saving grace for us was that we used a gift card to pay for it. We would have literally been better off going to the grocery store and buying one of the CPK frozen pizza's and cooking it at home ourselves. VERY disappointed and needless to say we won't be back anytime soon which is a sad commentary given that we only live 5 minutes away from the Cerritos Mall. Gave one star only because the servers at the taken out counter were fast and professional. Update: management (Choung) from the Cerritos restaurant called me the day after I wrote my review and were very concerned about the experience that my wife and I had with the pizza we had ordered.
