Cafe con Leche

I ordered the green Chilaquiles, a pink Concha, and q Mazapan shake—amazing! I was SO in love with the food that I ate it before I could take pictures! I'll have to come back again just for the pics :) I went on Saturday around noon and all the booths were taken, but there were plenty of tables available. I didn't see a sign anywhere, but my friends told me to order and pay at the counter and then seat myself, so we did. The service was fast and friendly! The coffee was okay, I wouldn't drink it black. So nice to have a family-owned place like this on the East Side! Vegetarian options: There are lots of items on the menu without meat. I recommend the chilaquiles breakfast which comes with no meat but does come with an egg (you can ask to exclude it). Parking: Parking accessible off Hubbell Ave. Can fill up quickly. Also slight incline, which might get tricky during the winter time.

Great addition to the Accent neighborhood of Des Moines. Family owned and operated. Great menu options to choose from. Even if a hot beverage is all you desire they have a selection of coffee drinks. Great service and plenty of dining space. My favorite is the El Americano which offers 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes and served with toast but I always ask for tortillas with mine. Cards and cash accepted here.

Delicious authentic Mexican dishes! It brings back childhood memories of a home-cooked meal. All the different combinations of flavors connect so perfectly... I could go on and on, but it does no justice. You have to try it for yourself!! I had the horchata shake and the chilaquiles con salsa Verde (Green Sauce).
